陕西省白水县马鞍河小流域,属渭北黄土高原丘陵沟壑区,总面积6.9平方公里,其中沟壑占38.2％,塬面占61.8％。总耕地5547亩,5个自然村,496户,2273人。治理前,年总收入28.8万元,其中农业22.1万元,牧业1.4万元,林业0.103万元,其它2.09万元,人均收入126元,人均粮食212公斤.原有人工林1009.2亩,以刺槐、杨树为主.四旁植树16999株,宜林地2240.7亩,林业生产承包者108户,承包林地及宜林地3249.9亩.
