为了加速实现农业机械化,我所与随县农机厂、大沙湖农场大修厂、华中农学院单位组成的机动插秧机统一设计组,根据我省的农业技术要求,在东风—2型机动插秧机的基础上,吸取其它机型的优点,进行综合设计了湖北—74型机动水稻插秧机(图1)。多点性能试验和生产试验表明,机具性能较稳定,结构基本可靠,深受贫下中农的欢迎。机具已于1974年10月通过省级鉴定定型,批量生产。
