中国的山水画,不同于西方的风景画。李可染先生说:“中国画不仅表现所见,而且表现所知、所想。”近代的中国山水画,尤其不满足于描写眼前的自然风光,总是通过画山河表现人事,也通过画山水景观反映人与自然关系的变化,这在岭南派的山水画中,出现较早,也十分突出,关山月的山水画尤有代表性。遍览他的山水画作品,可以发现大略有以下几类:抗战山水、岭南山水、祖国名胜山水、海外风光山水、生产建设山水、革命胜迹山水、领袖诗词山水、感兴寓意山水和环保生态山水。本文将结合《侵略者的下场》、《新开发的公路》和《绿色长城》等重要作品,就其抗战山水、生产建设山水和环保山水略做探讨,联系古代的山
