麝香百合是插花的优良材料。从田间剪下的花枝,在气温25℃、湿度80%左右,瓶插寿命5—6天。冷藏最适温度为1—3℃,贮前用塑料袋密封,一般可冷藏6—7天。如果贮前用一毫摩尔的STS(硫代硫酸银)溶液处理10分钟,温度为1—3℃,可保持12—14天,花苞不开放,花朵不变小。若用3%的蔗糖处理花枝12小时,一周后插瓶,则花朵能增长1厘米左右。
