为了解决大城市交通堵塞这一世界性难题,必须坚持公交优先、并以城市轨道交通为骨干的原则。这已成为国内外领导层和工程技术界的共识。为了促进和加快城市轨道交通事业的发展,上海铁道学院(现上海铁道大学)于1994年5月成立了全国第一家城市轨道交通学院,为城市轨道交通建设事业培养专门人才、从事科学研究和技术开发。
In order to solve the world-wide traffic congestion problem in big cities, we must adhere to the principle of giving priority to public transport and using urban mass transit as the backbone.
