Nine months after Mr. Tan Qixian left us, he compiled his major essays after 1982 and his series entitled “Long Shui Progresses”, which he wrote in the course of compiling and revising “China’s historical atlas” Can finally be sent to People’s Publishing House. Regrettably, this collection does not contain a preface or postscript written by himself. His autobiography written by Chang Shui Ji has been praised academically for his rigorous and realistic style. Now I can only use this article to describe the last years of the ancestors and the reason why I was ordered to make a “sequel,” laying down the endless, endless grief and misgivings.
