本文建立了上游为垄断中间产品生产商,下游为双寡头最终产品生产商,且下游企业产品存在质量差异并进行古诺竞争的纵向结构模型,考察质量差异市场中纵向兼并的创新效应与福利效应。研究表明:纵向一体化通常会促进一体化企业的创新而抑制竞争企业的创新;纵向一体化结构使一体化企业的利润提高,竞争企业的利润降低,生产者总利润降低;在产品存在质量差异的情况下,纵向一体化结构下消费者总剩余高于纵向分离结构,消费者福利得到改善;纵向一体化结构下的社会总福利低于纵向分离结构下的社会总福利。
This paper establishes a vertical structure model with upstream monopoly intermediate product producers and downstream dual oligopolistic end product producers, and with downstream product quality differences and Cournot competition. It examines the innovation effect and welfare effect of vertical mergers in the market with different quality. . Research shows that vertical integration will usually promote the innovation of integrated companies and inhibit the innovation of competitive companies; the vertical integration structure will increase the profits of integrated enterprises, the profits of competitive enterprises will decrease, the total profits of producers will decrease, and the quality of products will vary. Under the situation of vertical integration, the total surplus of consumers is higher than that of the vertical separation structure, and the welfare of consumers is improved; the total social welfare under the vertical integration structure is lower than the total social welfare under the vertical separation structure.
