In the fourth quarter of 2014, the shipment of titanium materials in the United States increased by 23.5% as compared with the same period of last year, reversing the downward trend for two consecutive years. According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), shipment of titanium rolled sheet was 9,820 tonnes (21.6 million pounds) in the fourth quarter of 2014, up from 7,950 tonnes (17.5 million pounds) in the same quarter of last year. In the fourth quarter, the shipment of titanium rolled sheet increased by 36,300 tonnes (80 million pounds) in the year, up by 2.8% from the same period of last year. In 2013, the annual shipment was 35,300 tonnes (77.8 million pounds). However, the shipment of titanium rolled products in the United States in 2014 is still far below 2011
