良好的人文素质和人文精神意识,是一个国家和民族富强、和谐的前提。本文讨论外语教学对中国近代史人文精神的积极影响,审视中国高校和外语教学界人文精神教育的现状,认为外语教学中应重视人文精神的教育,并提出高校外语教学应注意培养一支具有良好人文精神的教师队伍,转变师生关系,将成才的选择权还给学生,培养学生的批判性思维能力,以培养出具有较高人文素质和人文精神意识的外语人才。
