《礼记.礼运》:“治国不以礼,犹无耜而耕也。”王洲明先生说:“《诗经》中的许多内容是周礼的具体体现;换言之,周代的种种礼仪决定了《诗经》的内容。”①周礼是周代诸多文化现象的枢纽,故《诗》据礼而作者甚多。本文试对《小雅》中咏礼之诗加以分类考论。一、“养老乞言”礼与《小雅》部分诗篇的创作《小雅》之始《鹿鸣》一诗,古今论者极多,观点、结论层出不穷。本文从周代礼乐教化的角度审视此诗,考察其创作的本义。

This essay examines this poem from the perspective of ritual and enlightenment in the Zhou Dynasty and examines its original meaning.
