云南西部滇缅公路沿线的保山、板桥、芒市、畹町,是四个重要商业集镇.它们在发展和繁荣云南民族地区经济中,起了很大作用.这些作用,表现在以下几个方面:一、集镇的地理位置和交通条件,决定它是城乡农副产品的集散中心.名目繁多的农副产品,必须通过集镇收购、整理、加工、集运,才能进入流通领域和生产领域.保山坝子有八个坝区公社和十五个山区公社,都有公路通向保山镇和板桥镇,并且和11个较大集市贸易市场和33个初级贸易市场紧密相
Baoshan, Banqiao, Mangshi and Wanding towns along the Yunnan-Burma Road in the western part of Yunnan Province are the four major commercial markets that have played a significant role in the development and prosperity of the economy in Yunnan’s ethnic minority areas. These roles are manifested in the following Aspects: First, the town’s geographical location and traffic conditions, it is determined that it is the hub of agricultural and sideline products in urban and rural areas. A wide range of agricultural and sideline products must be acquired through the town, finishing, processing, transportation, in order to enter the circulation and production areas. The eight dam communes and the fifteen mountain communes have roads leading to Baoshan and Banqiao townships, and close to the 11 larger markets and 33 primary markets
