Platelet-derived growth factor (PDCF) is a glycoprotein released from platelet alpha granules during platelet aggregation. Can promote the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells and fibroblasts play an important role in the repair of the injury. On the other hand also suggests that there is such a strong growth factor in platelets, may be closely related to certain vascular lesions. This article describes the PDGF-based growth factor and explore its relationship with some vascular lesions. I. PDGF 1. Biochemical Characteristics of PDGF: PDGF is made from bone marrow megakaryocytes, stored in platelets and taken to the bloodstream. The molecular weight is 28.000 ~ 31.000, the isoelectric point of 9.5 to 10.4 alkaline protein, sugar 4 ~ 7%. Yes
