近年来,嗅球球周围细胞在生物进化过程中的演变机理及其在嗅觉信息编码中的作用逐渐受到普遍关注.从基于仿真建模分析的神经信息编码研究来看,球周围细胞的电生理模型对上述问题的认知有十分重要的作用.本文首先简介了嗅觉系统的解剖结构及嗅球中细胞类型,较详细阐述了基于球周围细胞化学、形态、离子通道和动作电位发放等不同分类标准的球周围细胞异质性研究的最新进展.相应地,针对目前球周围细胞几种较为典型的电生理模型,阐述了当前这些模型与球周围细胞异质性电生理实验研究之间存在的众多问题和缺陷.最后,针对上述问题,结合作者现有的工作提出了嗅球球周围细胞电生理、建模以及嗅觉信息编码等研究工作的未来发展方向.
