化粪池是处理建筑粪便污废水的构筑物,在我国大部分城市无城市污水处理厂的情况下,化粪池仍作为处理粪便污水的重要设施。与其它污水处理设施比较,化粪池结构简单,砌筑容易,造价也不高,易被用户所接受,但其出水水质不好,如果管理不善,会严重污染水体。因而,合理选用、使用和管理好化粪池有利于环境的保护,发挥其应有的社会和经济效益。
A septic tank is a structure that treats construction waste and wastewater. In most cities in China, where there is no urban sewage treatment plant, the septic tank is still an important facility for the treatment of fecal sewage. Compared with other sewage treatment facilities, the septic tank has a simple structure, easy masonry, and low cost, and is easily accepted by users. However, the quality of the effluent water is not good. If the septic tank is poorly managed, it will seriously pollute the water. Therefore, the rational selection, use, and management of septic tanks are conducive to the protection of the environment and their social and economic benefits.
