From September 15 to September 18, the CPC Central Committee held the 4th Plenary Session of the 17th Central Committee. The Plenary heard and discussed the work report commissioned by General Secretary Hu Jintao on behalf of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. The meeting reviewed and approved the Decision of the CPC Central Committee on Several Major Issues in Strengthening and Improving the Party Building in the New Situation. Comrade Xi Jinping made a statement to the Plenary about “Decision (Discussion Paper).” At the second plenary meeting of the general secretary Hu Jintao, his important speech made a comprehensive plan for the implementation of the plenary session and the current work.
