情态标记语是研究一部小说的词汇特征的重要参考依据,通过借助专业和科学的语料库进行定性和定量分析,从总体上把握研究对象在词汇应用上的特征,进而作为深入研究文本风格、体会作者思想感情的重要依据。这是基于语料库研究文本对象的关键意义所在。本文通过使用语料库统计检索软件对《老人与海》中出现的情态标记语进行检索分析,从词汇、语篇等方面验证海明威作品简约的文体风格,加深对文本内容的理解以及硬汉性格的解读。
Modality marker is an important reference for the study of lexical features of a novel. By using qualitative and quantitative analysis of professional and scientific corpus, we grasp the characteristics of lexical application of the research object as a whole, and then deepen the study of the text style An important basis for the author’s thoughts and feelings. This is where the key meaning of studying text objects based on corpora lies. In this paper, we use the corpus statistical retrieval software to search and analyze the modal markers appearing in “The Old Man and the Sea”, verify the simple stylistic style of Hemingway’s works from the aspects of vocabulary and text, deepen the understanding of the text content and the interpretation of the tough character.
