在布莱恩妮看来,“我们修复这些影片的最终目的,就是要让这些片子更长时间地停留在现代人的视野当中”。6月17日至23日,修复后的希区柯克早年的9部默片作为上海电影节的一个展映单元,进行了亚洲首映。这是这些默片诞生后80多年来首次完整地在大银幕上重现。在解释修复原由时,英国电影学会的回答简洁明了:“莎士比亚已经写进了通识课教材,希区柯克还没有。”
