Objective: To evaluate the effect of octreotide combined with radix salviae miltiorrhizae on microcirculation in acute severe pancreatitis (SAP). Methods: Forty-eight SAP patients were selected from September 2014 to November 2015, and divided into A, B and C groups, 16 cases in each group. Patients in group A were given octreotide, while patients in group B were treated with salvia miltiorrhiza , C group patients were given octreotide combined with Salvia treatment; compared three groups of patients before and after treatment of microcirculation state changes. Results: The levels of APTT, PT, TT, PLT and TXB2 in group A were significantly improved after treatment compared with that before treatment, and the improvement was better than those in group B and C (P <0.05). Conclusion: The combination of octreotide and Salvia miltiorrhiza can significantly improve the microcirculation of patients with SAP. The effect of octreotide is better than that of octreotide alone and Salvia miltiorrhiza alone.
