On May 28, 2010, the successful launching of the first GPS-2F new navigation satellite by the U.S. Delt 4 rocket marked another important progress in the U.S. “GPS” modernization program. Since the satellite came into orbit, the U.S. Air Force and satellite manufacturer Boeing have been conducting a lengthy inspection of the advanced GPS satellite, which has now officially become a part of the GPS constellation. The general manager of the space and intelligence unit at Boeing said the GPS-2F satellite has been significantly improved using advanced atomic clocks, adding an anti-jamming military signal with longer design life than previous GPS satellites, and a new civilian Signals help aviation safety and search and rescue workers
