公共艺术设计,作为艺术的一个“年轻”的门类,应当如何在保持其民族个性的同时,面向世界,面向时代,吸取中国优秀的传统文化的精髓,创造性的转换到现代产品设计中去,这也是对传统文化的一个传承与发展。作为当代的公共艺术设计来说,首先应当明确传统文化的概念和重要性,按照具体的设计要求,尽可能将这种传统文化表达和呈现。本文以公共设计中的广告设计和公共建筑设计,探求了中国传统文化在当代公共艺术设计中的运用。
