为了满足激光惯性约束聚变(ICF)中对全氘代聚合物泡沫的需求,2003年主要利用非氘代化合物对制备全氘代聚合物泡沫所需的全氘代单体———氘代二乙烯基苯的合成路线进行了相应的探索研究。根据制备成本,最终产物产率以及影响最终氘代率等因素,基本确定了合成氘代二乙烯基苯的路线,即:以氘代对二甲苯为原料,通过溴代,水解和魏希梯(Witting)烯化三步反应,进行氘代二乙烯基苯合成。目前非氘代二乙烯基苯已经制备成功,并对一些中间氘代物也进行了相应制备。
