Diabetes is a common disease of endocrine and metabolic disorders. With the change of life style and the process of aging, the prevalence of diabetes increases sharply. However, diabetic brain tissue damage is an important cause of death and disability in diabetic patients. Studies have shown that in the occurrence and development of diabetic brain injury, increased oxidative stress is an important factor in diabetic brain injury [1]. In recent years, studies have found that nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) oxidase is a key factor in oxidative stress. This article systematically describes the relationship between oxidative stress, NADPH oxidase, aldose reductase and diabetic brain injury.
