最早知道《图书情报工作》,是在大学就读时,至今我仍可清楚回忆起对她最初的敬仰之情;不期几年之后,竟然与它比邻而居,去年更有幸受邀参加编委扩大会议,聆听了各位专家学者改名之争,定位之议,变革之论。学者们见识广博,体验深刻,对《图书情报工作》和图书情报事业的关爱之心,溢于言表;尤为令人感慨的是,盛誉之下的《图书情报工作》,并未高枕无忧,裹足不前,相反,“立足于更高的层次,……,正在进行二次创业”（编辑部工作汇报语）。 的确,《图书情报工作》正处于一个新的发展平台上,外部环境的一系列变化几乎肯定会引发未来《图书情报工作》的深刻 When I first learned about “Library and Information Service” when I was in college, I still vividly recalled the initial admiration for her. It was not a few years later that I was living next to it.
