The Battle of Gettysburg was a turning point in the U.S. Civil War and the largest casualty in the entire war. Snipers on both sides were also active during the three-day bloody battle. Although they are small, they have had a significant impact on the progress of the war through the long-range attacks of senior officers, the paralysis of the artillery positions, and the continued morale of the enemy troops at long-range precision shooting. In the early morning of July 1, 1863, the Battle of Gettysburg officially kicked off as northern federal militiamen exchanged fire with the two brigade Southern Allied Forces arriving west of Gettysburg. A few hours later, the two armies continued to gather in this otherwise unfamiliar town, and the scale of crossfire was rapidly expanded from brigade to division level. Obviously a war has been imminent.
