Solid electrolyte, also known as fast ion conductor or superionic conductor, is a new type of functional material. Its basic features are: in the solid state with molten salt or liquid electrolyte ionic conductivity. In recent decades, great progresses have been made in its conducting mechanism, performance study and new variety development. Especially, the emergence of polymer solid electrolyte (referred to as SPE) has made the study of solid electrolyte become a new field of research in electrochemistry, solid state physics, Emerging edge discipline between polymer chemistry. In order to adapt to the development, Sotid State lonies, a professional journal of solid electrolyte, was started in 1980 and a great deal of research has been reported so far.
