本文描述中古汉语的入声韵尾-p、-t、-k在现代日本汉字音中的反映情况,并对其历时演变加以概述。“序论”一章说明吴音、汉音的区别,并以汉数词的读法为例,介绍两种音并存的具体情形;“单字音”一章介绍汉语的入声韵尾-p、-t、-k在单字读法中的反映规律及其从古代到现代的演变历史;“促音化”一章描述入声字作为两字词的前字时的替换规律,并介绍入声数词在其规律中的特殊性质。
