巴彦淖尔盟河套灌区,有着发展杨树速生丰产用材林和丰产型渠道林的很大潜力。营造这些林种对苗木的质量要求较高,按以往常规育苗方式每亩扦插3000多株,能勉强出圃的合格苗只有10%左右,其主要原因是育苗密度过大,培育的苗木是径高生长比例失调的细弱苗。解决这一问题,必须降低育苗密度,扩大苗木在生长期内的营养面积,以保证苗木的出圃质量。
