Sponsored by Lanzhou University, the Key Research Base of Humane and Social Sciences of Ministry of Education The “First China Hui Studies Forum” hosted by Northwest Minority Research Center of Lanzhou University was held in Lanzhou from July 8 to July 2006. 115 experts and scholars from 26 universities, research institutes and government departments from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Nanjing University, Yunnan University, Ningxia Academy of Social Sciences, and Taiwan’s National Chengchi University attended the conference.
