中、英、日三国在历史上颇有渊源,历史上的文化交流也比较密切。20世纪的英国的翻译名家们在遇到翻译难题的时候,有时会参考日文文献或日本学者的研究成果,“借词”翻译。因中日的亲缘关系,日本对中国文化也怀有亲近感,由此也促进了中国文化向西方传播。本文就《红楼梦》这部中国文学名著为例,探析中、英、日三国在英译和日译方面的翻译处理。 The three countries in China, Britain and Japan are quite historic in history, and the cultural exchanges in history are also relatively close. Twentieth century English translation masters in the face of translation problems, sometimes with reference to Japanese literature or Japanese scholars research results, “loanword ” translation. Because of the kinship between China and Japan, Japan also cherishes a sense of affinity with Chinese culture, thus promoting the spread of Chinese culture to the West. This paper analyzes the famous Chinese literary works of “Dream of Red Mansions” as an example to analyze the translation process of the English, Japanese and Japanese translations between English and Japanese.
