胡先骕(1894-1968)是我国近代著名植物学家.二十年代美国哈佛大学博士,国际植物命名委员会委员,中央研究院院士、评议员,国立中正大学校长,中国科学院一级研究员.胡先骕先生在科学研究和高等教育方面所作的贡献,《植物杂志》1983年4期已作介绍.这里介绍他在中学植物教学上的贡献,作为胡先生诞辰百年的纪念.早在1912年胡先骕赴美留学时,就有“乞得种树术,将以疗国贫”的宏愿,反映了他有科技富国的爱国主义思想.胡氏一贯重视科普工
Dr. Hu Xianqian (1894-1968) was a famous botanist in modern China. In the 1920s, Dr. Harvard University, member of International Plant Names Committee, academician of Academia Sinica, councilor, president of National Chung Cheng University and a researcher at Chinese Academy of Sciences, Scientific Research and Higher Education, Plant Magazine, No.4, 1983, which introduces his contributions to the teaching of plants in middle school as a memorial of Mr. Hu’s centenary.As early as 1912, when Hu Xianchi studied in the United States , There is the ambition of “begging for tree planting and will treat poverty in the country,” reflecting his patriotism of rich countries and rich nations.
