Objective To investigate the effect of cluster nursing on the prevention of bed sores in long-term hospitalized patients. Methods A total of 114 long-term hospitalized patients admitted from Shenzhen People’s Hospital and Jinan University Second Clinical College from March 2014 to March 2015 were selected for randomization and divided into observation group and control group randomly example. Patients in the control group were given routine nursing care. Patients in the observation group received intensive care based on the control group. The incidence and severity of bed sores, nursing and hospitalization time, Braden score were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of bed sores and Ⅰ degree bedsore in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (all P <0.05). The nursing time and hospitalization time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P <0.05). The scores of sensory ability, activity, mobility, humidity and friction of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (all P <0.05) . Conclusions The intensive nursing care for bedridden inpatients is helpful to prevent bedsore and improve nursing quality.
