2005年10月22日,7件流失海外数十载的龙门石窟佛教造像,终于回到了它们的诞生地。当日上午10时,文物回归庆典在龙门石窟观景台隆重举行。此次回归的7件文物,包括龙门北魏时期佛头造像1件、唐代佛头造像2件、唐代观音、天王头像及飞天造像各1件,另一件为北魏风格弥勒头像。这批文物长期流失海外,曾分属美籍华人陈哲敬先生和另一位美国收藏家。2004年, On October 22, 2005, seven Buddhist statues of the Longmen Grottoes, which lost tens of thousands overseas, finally returned to their birthplace.
