Endocrine-paracrine cells (APUD or neuroendocrine cells) have been reported to exist in the urogenital tract of mammals, the most common sites being the prostate and urethra. For the first time in this study, we showed a small amount of endocrine-paracrine cells in the guinea pig seminal vesicle epithelium. However, due to the very small number of such cells in the seminal vesicle, which is very difficult to find in situ in the sections, we isolated the seminal vesicle epithelial cells by enzymatic dissociation of cells, collected by centrifugation and made into smear, and formaldehyde-induced fluorescence and Silver staining confirmed the existence of such cells. After the seminal vesicle is removed from the young adult rat, the mucosal surface is flipped outwards and set over the glass rod. The other end of the glass rod was connected to a small electric motor. One end of the seminal vesicle gland was inserted into Eagle’s basal fluid (EBM) solution containing 2% protease and 0.05% EDTA and centrifuged at 37 ° C for 30 to 50 minutes (200 rpm ).
