The latest developments of research and control technology for foreign inclusions in steel are introduced, including: Posco used computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model to study inclusions in molten steel; Cairo University of Cairo, Egypt controlled the addition of calcium to improve the cleanliness of molten steel; Inclusions analysis method, JFE single tundish thermal turnover to reduce head blank cracks, Sumitomo metal nozzle casing to improve the reduction of macro inclusions in the slab.
