2011年末,南京大学物理学院教授王广厚当选为中国科学院院士。他是国内最早开展原子团簇物理的实验和理论研究的科学家之一。他在国内率先翻译了“团簇”范畴,被学术界认可。从1992年起,他带领课题组自行设计和研制成功三代团簇实验装置,发展了可与平面工艺相兼容的低能团簇束流淀积技术,是国际上最早研究支撑团簇和团簇组装纳米结构的单位之一。
In late 2011, Wang Guanghou, a professor of physics at Nanjing University, was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Science. He is one of the earliest scientists to carry out experiments and theoretical studies of atomic cluster physics. He took the lead in translation of the “Cluster” category in China and was recognized by academia. Since 1992, he has led the research group to design and develop three generations of cluster experimental devices, and developed a low-energy cluster beam deposition technology compatible with planar technology. He is the earliest researcher in the world to study the support clusters and cluster assembly One of the units of nanostructures.
