在动物实验和人工培养疟原虫中观察了常山提取物对疟疾的疗效。实验结果显示该提取物与氯喹一样具有抗疟作用。常山提取物对于抗氯喹株疟原虫有良好效果,而且对氯喹敏感株和抗氯喹株疟原虫的疗效相同。同时证实对人工培养的恶性疟疟原虫亦有效果。 The effect of Changshan extract on malaria was observed in animal experiments and artificial cultivation of Plasmodium.
