1998-1999年台湾《联合报副刊》组织的“台湾文学经典”评选活动,是台湾文学经典化的一个重要组成部分。它引发了人们对台湾文学持续的关注和讨论,推动学界系统地总结台湾文学的传统,更深入地思考台湾文学的未来。这一活动在台湾文学史上有着重要的意义:一是在多元化的时代,凝聚和整合了人们的文学共识;二是在文学失去主体价值的时代,重新建构了台湾文学的传统;三是在消费文化时代,重新确立了人们的文学信仰,提振人们的文学信心。 The “Taiwan Literary Classics” contest organized by Taiwan’s United Daily Newspaper Supplementary Journal 1998-1999 is an important part of the literary classics in Taiwan. It has led to the continuous concern and discussion of Taiwanese literature, pushed academia to systematically sum up the tradition of Taiwanese literature and think more deeply about the future of Taiwanese literature. This activity is of great significance in the history of Taiwanese literature. The first is to unite and integrate people’s literary consensus in a pluralistic era. The second is to rebuild the tradition of Taiwanese literature in an age when literature has lost its main body of value. Third, Consumer culture era, re-established people’s belief in literature, to boost people’s literary confidence.
