柏木(Cupressus fanebris)又名川柏、垂条柏、香扁柏、柏枝树,是我国南方重要乡土树种,材质优良,耐水湿,抗腐性强,用途广泛。在我国南方自然分布较广,但在我省丘陵地区却不见天然林,人工林也不多,我局从1960年开始,先后从四川和我省西部山区引种,现保存有人工中幼林10000余亩,通过18年来的栽培证明,柏木在丘陵地区表现出适应性广、生长快、造林容易,成本低,病虫害少等优点,是丘陵地区有希望的造林树种。
Cupressus (Cupressus fanebris), also known as Chuanbai, vertical Cypress, incense cypress, cypress tree, is an important native tree species in southern China, good material, water wet, corrosion resistance and wide range of uses. In the southern part of our country, the natural distribution is wide, but in the hilly areas of our province, there are no natural forests and no more artificial plantations. Since 1960, our bureau has introduced from Sichuan and other western mountainous areas in our province, Mu, through 18 years of cultivation proved that cypress wood in the hilly areas showed wide adaptability, fast growth, afforestation easy, low cost, less pests and diseases, is hilly region promising afforestation species.
