王小松是2011年威尼斯双年展的参展者之一。不过,他为这次展出所创作的作品——《制造生活》,并不在中国官方的艺术展馆中陈列,而是与12位同僚在现今作为学校的圣Spirito修道院[2]里,进行着一场名为《碎裂的文化》反活动。王小松的作品《制造生活》由75米长,18根钢索拧扭而成,并且连结了50万个形状各异的红色小人,紧紧地悬挂在两面墙之间。同时,36个喇叭分别在不停地播报媒体信息。他对此的评论是:“他们(这些小人)被紧密地绑缚在同一根钢索上,纠结不清。这代表了当权者以及其利益群体,同时也代表了无计可施并且被日渐愚化的人
Wang Xiaosong is one of the exhibitors at the 2011 Venice Biennale. However, his creation for this exhibition, ”Making Life,“ was not shown in the official art pavilion in China.
