在《闹鬼的房子》中,伍尔夫打破西方诗学寻求时间同一性,即有序“绝对时间”秩序的文学传统。她通过能指时间的延展性建立现代小说的主体时间范畴,即“相对时间”。在诗学与时间意识的关系上,她关注时间与主体存在状态、自我意识之间的关系。《闹鬼的房子》的相对时间范畴体现出延展叙事时间的无序性、可逆性与共时性。伍尔夫的时间范畴重新界定时间与意识的关系,突出了意识的主导性与权利。人们应该在意识的时间、空间里寻找意义的所在,进而把握存在的本质。其实,相对时间就是说话人“在”与“是”的时间,是说话人的基本存在方式。
In Haunted House, Woolf breaks the western poetics and seeks for the identity of time, that is, the literary tradition of ordered “absolute time ” order. She establishes the main time frame of modern fiction by means of the extensibility of time, namely “relative time”. In the relationship between poetics and time consciousness, she paid close attention to the relationship between time and the state of existence of the subject and self-awareness. The relative time categories of “haunted house” reflect the disorder, reversibility and synchronicity of the extended narrative time. Woolf’s time scale redefined the relationship between time and consciousness, highlighting the dominance and right of consciousness. People should find the place of meaning in the time and space of consciousness, and then grasp the essence of existence. In fact, the relative time is the speaker “in ” and “yes ” time, is the speaker’s basic existence.
