林良对写意花鸟画的发展做出过重要贡献,其笔墨方面的创新对明清花鸟画坛影响巨大。《灌木集禽图》是林良写意风格的代表作之一,全卷80余只禽鸟姿态各异、形神兼备。本文通过对此卷中禽鸟形象的分析,从造型、运笔及相关细节方面,明确其写意禽鸟的画风特征,探讨林良独特的笔墨语言。
Lin Liang made an important contribution to the development of freehand bird-and-flower paintings. The innovation of his ink and brush exerted a tremendous influence on the flower-and-bird painting circles in the Ming and Qing dynasties. “Shushi set bird map” is one of the representative works of Lin Liang’s freehand style, the whole volume of more than 80 birds pose differently, with both form and spirit. Based on the analysis of the bird images in this volume, this essay clarifies the style characteristics of the freehand poultry birds and discusses the unique pen and ink language of Lin Liang from the aspects of modeling, handling and related details.
