桑树伐条是蚕桑生产中一项季节性强,劳动强度大的作业。为减轻劳动强度,提高工效,苏州蚕桑专科学校研制了苏蚕4SF—2型桑树伐条机。该机经两年夏伐,使用效果较好。该机由两人操作,可同时剪伐两行桑树,工效比人工剪伐提高1.5～2倍,且操作省力,作业符合农艺要求。该机由汽油机,软轴传动系统、切割装置和行走机架等组成,适于乡村和各蚕种场的桑树伐条作业。机具配套动力为1E40F汽油机,桑枝最大切割直径为30毫米,整机重量38公斤,外形尺寸835×375×875(毫米)。
