本文叙述了相控阵雷达中采用光学技术进行信号分配与控制的基础。采用这种方式可以处理多种类型信号:高频(RF)信号,频率至少可达15千兆赫,并具有高稳定性与高信噪比;中频(IF)信号,具有大的动态范围和相对带宽;数字控制信号,数据率达每秒几兆比特。所有这些信号原则上都能调制在光频上沿单根光纤传送,使信号分配网络大大的简化。本文的目的是对这种方式设计上的一些限制作定量的讨论。
This paper describes the basic principles of signal distribution and control in optical phased array radar. This approach can handle many types of signals: high frequency (RF) signals at frequencies up to 15 GHz with high stability and high signal-to-noise ratio; intermediate frequency (IF) signals with large dynamic range and relative Bandwidth; Digitally Controlled Signals, Data Rate Up to Several Megabits per Second. In principle, all of these signals can be modulated and transmitted along a single fiber along the optical frequency, greatly simplifying the signal distribution network. The purpose of this article is to discuss quantitatively some of the design limitations of this approach.
