北进、南进政策是第二次世界大战期间日本帝国主义对外侵略扩张的基本国策和争霸世界的战略。中国的抗日战争使日本北进苏联的战略图谋彻底破产;推迟了日本法西斯南进的步伐,减轻了美英在亚太地区的军事压力,在日本冒险南进之后,中国的抗日战争牵制着日本陆军的主力和日军在太平洋战争初期的战略攻势,对世界反法西斯战争做出了巨大的贡献。
