窄间隙焊接是一种射流过渡型熔化极气体保护焊。不管所焊钢板厚薄,均采用宽6~10毫米的小间隙,不开坡口,一层层地熔敷较薄的焊道,直至焊满。窄间隙焊接法已经在几种碳钢和低合金铜,以及铝合金上成功地应用。为了在接头的窄间隙中进行焊接,制作了专用设备。此设备上带有厚度仅3.2毫米,能插进窄间隙内的特制水冷导电咀和用以跟踪焊缝和控制导电咀与工件间距离的导电咀引导装置。窄间隙焊接的主要优点是:1.减少了填充金属用量,因而降低了成本。2.焊接热输入量低,所以焊缝金属和热影响区的机械性能极好。3.采用射流过渡的焊接规范,所以包括仰焊在内的全位置都可以进行自动焊接。4.变形较小并容易控制。
Narrow gap welding is a jet transition type melting gas shield welding.
