The indoor simulated experiments were conducted to study the changes of heavy metals Cu and Cd uptake by Skeletonema costatum and Alexandrium tamarense under different nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations. The results showed that the uptake of Cu and Cd by the two algae tended to increase with the incubation time in the 10 h absorption experiment. The rates of Cd uptake by A. tamarense and S. costatum all showed good correlation with the growth rate of algae. The increase of N concentration significantly promoted the absorption of Cu and Cd by both species of algae. The increase of P concentration promoted the absorption of Cu by Skeletonema costatum, and the absorption of Cd by Skeletonema costatum was not affected by P significantly. P had no significant effect on the absorption of Cu and Cd by Alexandrium tamarense. In addition, this study also showed that when the external Cu concentration ≤ 100μg / L, Cd concentration ≤ 20μg / L, the absorption of Cu and Cd by two algae showed a linear increase with the increase of Cu and Cd concentrations, indicating The experimental set of low and high concentrations of heavy metals, the physiological state of algae did not change significantly, the experimental results are accurate and reliable.
