刺激性泻药双醋酚汀淘汰以后,我们用中药番泻叶治疗各种便秘共197例,其中最小年龄15岁,最大年龄83岁,全部有效。一般每日用2～3g,开水冲泡,饭后饮用,每日3次。第2天即可排便,效(?)不显著者次日增加至3～4g,用2～3天后可正常排便。腹部术后病人每天用2～3g,一般5小时内可排气、排便。番泻叶有效成分为番泻叶甙A、B及游离蒽醌衍生物,饮用后经胃、小肠吸收在肝中分解,分解产物经血行而兴奋骨盆神经节以收缩大肠产生缓泻作用。
