In the new century, China’s society and economy are facing challenges as well as opportunities for development. Numerous experiments and exchanges have confirmed that Chinese students have solid basic skills but the only regret is the lack of creativity. In the long run, it will be hard to cope with the ever-changing information society and it will be difficult to meet the challenges of the knowledge-based economy. Therefore, cultivating students’ innovative awareness and ability has become an important training goal of China’s basic education.
