圆葱(Allium Cepa.L)具有较高的营养价值和经济价值,并因葱头较耐贮藏和运输,成为调剂市场均衡供应的重要蔬菜。近几年还增加了葱头出口和加工数量,使圆葱生产更有广阔的发展前途。但因我国的圆葱品种较为单一,不能满足蔬菜生产和消费水平日益增长的需要。常见的圆葱品种均因秋季贮藏中大量发芽和腐烂,难以长期安全贮藏,而且在偏北地区露地越冬不够安全,不适应生长季节短的气候条件,造成产量不高不稳的现象。为了解决这些问题,我们提出了选育高度耐贮藏、高产稳产、品质良好、适应北方自然条件的圆葱新品种的任务。一、熊岳圆葱的选育经过和基本特征本品种选育工作采用耐藏性和品质较好的天津“荸荠扁”和葱头较大的当地红皮品种作为杂交亲本。但因“荸荠扁”品种较为混杂,
