国防动员,首要是兵员动员。自人类有战争以来,就有兵员动员。在几千年来的战争史上,兵员动员从来都是活生生的热血青年。然而,伴随高科技的发展,一种崭新的兵员征集对象,悄悄地走进了人类的战争生活。 1990年夏天,海湾战争正在剑拔弩张之际,美军在征召大批后备军人入伍的同时,一名机器人被征召入伍了。这名“新兵”取名“文尼”,身高1.82米,体重85千克,结实的身躯由钢和硅铜组成。它入伍之后担任化学侦察任务,应付可能出现的化学战。
